Dustin Penner Traded To Los Angeles

It only took 6 1/2 of TSN coverage for a big deal to break as Dustin Penner is traded to the Los Angeles Kings for Colten Teubert, 1st round pick (2011), conditional pick (2012).

Penner gives the Kings playoff experience and gives them a big bodied forward who can get to the front of the net and score some dirty goals. The Kings are now an even more dangerous team going into the playoffs as they have a ton of scoring depth.

The Oilers get a great return for Penner. They free up over $4 million on the cap, Teubert was the Kings 13th overall choice in 2008, they also receive a 1st round pick this year and a conditional pick in 2012 which will be either a second or third round pick.
